Fantastic, it doesn't even look like a real flower. What is this? In fact, I don't know any of the flowers you posted! I didn't know it's possible to grow those types of exotic flowers in home... good job!

Thanks, my purpose is to show you some of my plants which aren't so common. This specific flower has no common name, it is a tiny creeper from Himalaya, near Nepal and it was described 1885. It isn't the easiest but cute flowers with sweet fragrance worth the trouble.
So, now when you saw few of them you probably know why I collect just thosekind of plantssmiley
Wen: you're right, I like beauty around me

All these beauties from Himalayas make me want to travel there... I actually had no idea you can find such flowers in mountaneous regions, rather than the tropic climate.

Hehe, what you say of flowers and how they're worth it makes me think flowers are like girls, or vice versa. smiley

In my point of wiew, it goes same way with men… Therefore I'll rather fret about plants smiley

Many of my plants can be found from tropical lowland forests to mountain rainforests, Himalaya is large region as you know.

I must apologize the quality of this picture on the right: when this one flowered, I hadn't real camera. But if anyone interested this fabulous Coelogyne cristata, there's lot of picture in internet.

This beauty was discovered in 1824 in the lower Himalaya valleys at altitudes between 1400 m and 2300 m, somewhere around Bhutan and Sikkim. But what is amazing is that it always flower when there is still snow. Therefore it Finnish name is "lumikuningatar" which mean something like "snowqueen". As I know, it has no common English name but it is most knowing Himalaya flower and all the people, who grows orchids, knows it. And it is my favorite too, in fact, it was my first orchid ever and since that, orchids have hypnotized me and I also get interested in other Himalaya region plants, like Hoyas, such as Hoya serpens above.

So, as I mentioned before, I’m very fond of Himalaya region plants.
